An ActivityActivities are a central part of Fellowship One. They allow you to create assignments for participants and volunteers for reporting purposes, track attendance, determine staffing needs and track activity requirements. is a central part of Fellowship One. Other uses for activities include event registrations, tracking headcount, tracking communication cards, giving by service time and scheduling volunteers. To get started with these advanced options, follow the steps listed below.

There are four steps for creating an activity that mimic the Who, What, When, and Where questions typically detailed when you are inviting people to an event. The steps to creating an activity are:

Step 1: Create the activity and define age ranges and Check-in behavior. Think of this step as the What. What is the event?

Step 2: Create the activity schedule and recurrence. This step is the When of your event. When can people attend this event?

Step 3: Create the activity's RLC group(s). This step is part of the Where of the activity. It's a way to organize locations for your event (particularly when there are more than one). If you plan on using Check-in as people arrive at the event, this step is very important.

Step 4: Create the activity's rooms/locations (RLCs). This step is the final piece of the Where of this event. Where should people go when they arrive. For example, do participants go to different locations based on age? Do participants have different choices for what they can hear/do?

In addition to the basic steps for creating activities, Activity Management also includes information on configuring Small Groups, using Fellowship One Check-in, managing event registration forms, working with assignments, taking attendance (and recording head count), setting up attendance rules for contributions, working with confidential activities, working with activity types and working with activity requirements.
